Description: Dragon Boat Racing is a very long and narrow canoe-style human-powered boat. It is now used in the team paddling sport of dragon boat racing which originated in China over 2000 years ago.  Each Dragon Boat crew is comprised of a drummer, a steerperson and 20 paddlers.

Wasa is located on Highway 93/95 in the Kootenay River Valley, between Skookumchuk and Fort Steele, 38 km (24 mi) northeast of Kimberley and 25 km (16 mi) north of Cranbrook.
